 About Saxtech - Bill Sneddon
Originally from Livingstone, West Lothian, I have worked as a professional musician in the North East for 36 years, first as a saxophonist and then as a woodwind teacher. I have worked with international saxophone players such as Tim Garland, Bob Mintzer, John Surman, Andy Sheppard, Lewis Watson and Alan Barnes with the Voice of the North Jazz Orchestra. As an enthusiastic advocate of the saxophone as a solo ‘classical’ instrument I have recently performed with the New Tyneside Chamber Orchestra as a saxophone soloist.
Setting up SaxTech (saxophone repair and maintenance service) has been an ambition of mine for many years, SaxTech offers a friendly, professional saxophone repair service from a well equipped workshop.
I have built up years of experience and skill in maintaining and repairing professional instruments. High performance skills are an essential element for play testing the saxophone, ensuring a quality repair. My expertise has been valued by performers such as Tim Garland and Lewis Watson. I also work regularly with schools to maintain instruments to the best possible standard for young people.
